Rush: Ares gave Kratos the strength to protect his people and in return, Kratos served Ares as his champion warrior.īolt: But one day Ares said, "HEY! You'd know what'd be awesome?! Tricking my strongest warrior into killing his own wife and child. So like most people in Greek mythology Kratos made a deal with one of the gods, which in this case was Ares, who was the God of War.
