This is all speculation, but the new BF’s snide comments about Ted and Richmond sound an awful lot like what Harry Styles might’ve said to his former girlfriend Wilde, while watching Ted Lasso sweep the Emmys. We see Ted reuniting with ex-wife Michelle (Andrea Anders)-is she a stand-in for Olivia Wilde? Before Ted’s return, Michelle and her new BF-her marriage counselor with Ted, gross-spend their last few minutes on the show together watching Richmond take down West Ham. Ted’s final moments on the show were touching, if not a little too similar to Sudeikis’ personal life. The formula from the first season worked-no need to keep messing with it. But considering the disjointed, hour-long episodes we were gifted (if you can call it that) this season, Ted Lasso has some restructuring to do, no matter what happens. That said-with the audience and awards power Ted Lasso has, I wouldn’t be shocked if we get both a sequel and a spinoff. I trust the Ted Lasso team to come up with a new concept. More about Jamie and Roy’s bromance would also be a delight. Again, give me anything about Dani Rojas or Van Damme and I’m hooked. Who would coach? Would this include old characters, or introduce us to an entirely new cast? And, most importantly: Would Phoebe (Elodie Blomfield) play on the team, eventually?Ī spinoff about any of the show’s characters would also be a riveting way to continue such a fun show. Several members of the Ted Lasso team already gave us their ideas for spinoffs-and those all sound pretty exciting.Īnother possible idea: In the finale, Keeley hands Rebecca a pitch deck for the future of AFC Richmond, which includes a new idea: How about a Richmond Women’s Team? I have so many questions. After watching this finale, it’s clear that Apple TV+ has to work out whether the show will continue with a follow-up ( Roy Kent seems too on-the-nose perhaps The Richmond Way, the title of Trent’s book) or a spinoff. Nothing leads me to believe that the Ted Lasso story will end after Season 3, Episode 12.īut Ted Lasso can’t be called “Ted Lasso'' without the American doofus himself. Rebecca’s love story is just getting started. The Jamie (Phil Dunster)/Roy/Keeley (Juno Temple) love triangle still isn’t solved. Sure, ending here would be well and good however, there are so many stories left to tell, even if Sudeikis has flown the coop. The season three finale of "Ted Lasso" premieres May 31 on Apple TV+.Ted Lasso will leave no plot holes-as far as I know-if Season 3 is the last one. We'll have to wait and see what happens to AFC Richmond in the last episode in the wake of Ted's decision to leave. Sudeikis has all but confirmed this is the final season of "Ted Lasso," which would make the 12th episode of the season the series finale. (Which other "Wizard of Oz" characters the rest of the "Ted Lasso" characters map onto we'll leave up to you to decide.) Even though the audience doesn't hear Ted say he's going home, the message is crystal clear with the song choice at the end. He's Dorothy, moments before he heads back home for good. "Ted Lasso" fans will remember that Ted is also from Kansas. "Home" - which became a hit single for star Stephanie Mills - is the song Dorothy sings before she clicks her heels and goes back home to Kansas. "The Wiz" is a 1974 musical that retells "The Wizard of Oz" with an all-Black cast. The new version is sung by Brandi Carlile. Listen to every song from S2E8 - Ted Lasso, 'Man City', with scene descriptions. Over the credits of the episode, a cover of "Home" from the musical "The Wiz" plays. But if you're not 100 percent clear on what Ted's "truth bomb" is, the answer becomes clear during the credits. "I've got one." The episode ends, leading us into the finale. She reminds him that this is the time of year when she usually has something big to tell him, but this time she doesn't have a "truth bomb." Ted walks to work, like he always does, and finds Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) in his office. Ted falls asleep on the couch that night, and when he wakes up in the morning, Dottie has left, headed back to America. Over the Rainbow (From the movie You’ve Got Mail) Harry Nilsson 7. Manchester England (From Hair) Hair London Cast 5. Sometimes you lose and sometimes you win, but most of the time you just tie." Ted Lasso Theme Marcus Mumford & Tom Howe 3. 'Cause I know he's gonna leave." His mom tells him, "That's the thing about being a parent. "It's like I'm scared sometimes to like get close close to that little boy. "I miss him, too." He starts crying and struggles to find the words. In the 11th episode of "Ted Lasso"'s third season, which was released on Apple TV+ on May 24, Ted (Jason Sudeikis) is confronted by his mom, Dottie (Becky Ann Baker), about how his son, Henry (Gus Turner), misses him back home in Kansas.
